Inspired by the famous/infamous Meme-ifesto at grugbrain.dev I’m still translating this piece into english, which you can find here, though some concepts don’t quite transfer.
Grug do javascript python five year, thought knew good. Leetcode show Grug ignorance. Ignorance first step Knowledge. Real poison to knowledge call Arrogance. Leetcode brutal destroy Arrogance (all Grug confidence, actually). Leetcode bitter, yes. But powerful knowledge juice.
But Grug start leetcode wrong. Grug think, this test of big brain. Maybe I have. Will Grug never learn? Grugbrain smol. Arrogance demon poison Grug, Grug just not knowing. Grug try hard, sometimes do okay thirty minutes, parentheses match, Grug do big dance. But sometimes Grug meet Algo Binary Search first time and it soul destroy like tiger teeth sink deep in Grug heart.
Grug try many time. Grug find other brains riding leetcode beast. No can defeat beast. Binary Search win many time. Much brain hurt. Brain hurt good in moderation, but too much hurt soul. Maybe thirty minute brain hurt, okay, then go on walk, hunt mammoth and refresh body soul. But Arrogance poison push Grug long time. Brain hurt two suns. No learn, just brainhurt, and Grug feel very small. Dark time. Like cave with shadow creature.
Grug learn later, get just one small brain hurt. Then, ask super big brain of internet. Knows many thing. Is not wrong. Algos look simple but have big smart for smol brains. Algo knowledge trickle like stream. After many year, many big brain, become ocean.
Grug warn! No drink oceans same time! Grug find nice neetcode man, heal soul of arrogance poison. Grug remember, brain smol. So Grug find big cram concepts in tiny brain. Called “prak tiss”. Grug heard of, but arrogance demon spirit whisper - “prak tiss for weak brain who no can do code interview make big shiny rock. You big brain, you make good idea like boom, no prak tiss. Or probably you trampled by mammoth.”
Demon spirit lie. Grug brain smol. Demon spirit even lie two time! Grug brain stronk. Prak tiss spirit medicine make body mind spirit more stronk. Incremental stronk happen. Like for-loop.
Grug learn many thing, through moderate brain hurt, but also this neetcode man “prak tiss” medicine. Grug brain smol cup size. No can hold ocean. But can learn map! Grug paddle over leet ocean with map.
